Starting Off the Summer with....Patience!!
I am done with my first two years of college, only two more left and I am excited to see what God has planned!! So, I left Friday afternoon from Portland with my mom. We packed up our cars and our plan was to travel 5 1/2 hrs. back home to Post Falls, Idaho. An hour into the trip my car's spedometer slowly decreased along with my speed. I would tap on the gas pedal a couple times and it would catch and run like normal. Soon it was doing it so often that we were traveling too slow for the Interstate. We pulled off and decided to travel on the 14 highway in Washington. We were a little past the Dalles. It took my mom and I, 4 hours to travel to Kennewick, traveling in between 20-30 mph. During that time I was thinking about how long it took the pioneers and their families to travel across America to the West....random thought but that's what I thought. I was thankful that I had a car then. We pulled into a gas station and put some gas aditives and premium unleaded gas. The car at least was going 45-55 mph by then. My dad caught up with us on the 395 and then traveled with us back home. Once he caught up, my parents told me to go home, I was driving our Subaru. So what was supposed to be a 5 1/2 hr. trip turned into an 11 hour long drive home!! I am thankful that the car is still running and that it did not break down, we had to milk it all the way!!! So that was the start to my summer, I was really itchin to get home but God made it a slower trip..."blessed by your name!"
